Dress Code
All students are required to pull hair up in ponytail, bun, and or away from face.
All female students are required to wear a leotard and full-length footed or convertible tights* to each class. (Leotard and tights may be any color)
Male dancers may were shorts or dance pants and a shirt that properly fits. No baggy shirts please. All male shoes should be black in color--ballet, tap, jazz and Hip Hop.
Ballet:
All classes are required to wear a full leotard and footed or convertible tights.
Shoes: Pink leather ballet slippers--full or split sole
Pointe:
No skirt or shorts allowed over leotard.
Shoes: the brand and style that works best for you. Ms. Dianne will assist with your fitting if you wish.
Tap:
Dance shorts or dance pants are allowed over leotard. No jeans, t-shirts or tank tops allowed
Shoes: Preschool-Children level--Black patent leather with elastic loop
Jr. Level and up--suntan tap oxford
Jazz:
Dance shorts or dance pants are allowed over leotard. No jeans, t-shirts, or tank tops allowed
Shoes: suntan slip on Jazz shoe--split sole
Lyrical:
Dance shorts are allowed over leotard. No jeans, pants, t-shirts, or tank tops allowed Convertible or *Footless tights (Footless tights will be required for recital performance)
Shoes: Foot undies
Hip Hop:
Baggy pants, Dance pants, dance shorts and fitted top acceptable. No jeans, or t-shirts allowed
Shoes: Black Dance Sneaker
Contemporary /Modern:
Dance pants, dance shorts allowed over leotard
Musical Theater:
No jeans, T-shirts or tank tops of any kind allowed in any dance class. Teachers must be able to see dancer's waist and hips to insure proper alignment.
A good rule to follow is: "if you can wear it to school you should not wear it to dance class." How you dress affects how you dance, please be properly dressed for each class.
